As a practicing psychiatrist, Dr. Karns specializes in mental health with a focus on inpatient care. The focus of inpatient care is to stabilize the patient’s symptoms, improve emotional well-being, and restore functional abilities to help patients manage their daily lives. She works at Summit Behavioral Healthcare in Cincinnati, Ohio. Following the completion of her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010, Dr. Karns went on to further her education. She completed her residency in psychiatry at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
